The cultural centre of Arousa Island, as known as the Auditorium, is where most of the local and cultural events take place. Its structure consist on two buildings embedded one to the other by a small inner square.

The biggest building holds the events hall, which has a capacity for 250 seats, an exposition hall and a room for advanced-aged people.

The Carmen Festivals is a festivity that take place in Arousa Island from the 15th to the 18th of July.

During those days people honor and worship diferent saints with their corresponding masses and processions, games, music and a vervain when night falls

On Thursday San Ramon Nonato is celebrated, the patron of pregnant women and new births.

On Friday we have San Roque, a patron miraculous for being able to heal wounds and bone problems.

On Saturday the festivities are held in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, saint patron of sailors, wich starts with the output of the Virgen del Carmen from San Xulian Parochial Parish to the Port of Ó Xufre, where a solemn mass takes place on her honor.

Finally, on Sunday San Antonio, patron of well-aged people and girls who seek to find a new love is celebrated.

Chrysi is an unhabited island, so there is few cultural life in it (there is, mainly, tourism).

We can highlight Saint Nicolas festivity:

Every year at 6th December, many people go to Chrysi Island by small boats to celebrate Saint Nicolas who protects fishermen.

This is the church of Saint Nicolas in the West coast of the island.
